Jim and Carla, his wife of 36 years moved to The Hills in 2018 after he retired as Senior Vice President of Business Information Services for Southwestern Energy (SWN). Prior to joining SWN, Jim was a Principle with Deloitte Consulting where he had been for 18 years and lead the Oracle Business Intelligence practice. Jim was involved in operational improvement projects, the implementation of a variety of financial management and reporting systems. He focused on providing organizational and technology guidance to corporations, non-profit organizations, and governmental entities. He continues his professional career as Co-Founder of Guadalupe Mining, LLC, leveraging 35 years of technology, operational and financial experience to the management team of the organization.
Earlier in his career Jim advised institutional investors in the underwriting of Real Estate investments and worked closely with financial institutions in the valuation and management of their Real Estate portfolios. Jim also provided tax-exempt bond administration support for municipalities.
Jim grew up in the Big Bend area of Texas. He is a proud graduate of The University of Texas and holds a BBA in Finance from this distinguished institution. Jim and Carla have two adult children and an amazing granddaughter who all live in the Austin area.
Jim and Carla have been involved in many charitable organizations including Junior Achievement, the Boy Scouts of America, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, United Way, and the Juvenile Protective Association. They are active with the Steve Hicks School of Social Work in various mentoring and Board roles and most recently Jim served for four years on the Board of The Hills of Lakeway Property Owners’ Association.
