Dear Neighbors:
We are excited to continue adding value to our community. With the completion of the trail segment on The Hills Drive between The Hills City Park and Dovedale Cove, approximately 75% of the walking trail master plan has been constructed. The next phase of the plan is a topographic survey of 2,500 feet of right-of-way from Dovedale Cove to Wingreen Loop, along The Hills Drive. The survey will contribute to an engineered trail design which is safe and accessible to all pedestrians. A survey crew will be in the area beginning October 29. The surveyors will work within the right-of-way/easement boundaries adjacent to the road. Please watch for survey crews and practice extra caution in the work zones. When the design is finished, the project will be bid, and construction scheduled in latter 2021.
The City Council’s guiding principle is to enhance the quality of life and safety of our residents, at the most cost-effective value proposition, with a focus on continuing improvement of property values in The Hills. The walking trail project incorporates these tenets by keeping pedestrians and motorists safe while staying contemporary with new neighborhoods in the area.
