As we move well into 2025, I want to take a moment to update you on some key developments happening in the Village of The Hills. Your engagement is vital to the progress of our community, and I encourage you to stay informed and involved.
Recent Updates & Initiatives
Comprehensive Plan Approved
After two public hearings, the City Council has officially adopted the Village of The Hills Comprehensive Plan. This plan will serve as a strategic guide for future growth in our community.
Traffic Safety & E-Bike UseTo enhance road safety, we have requested enhanced enforcement of traffic laws and are working to launch an educational campaign in coordination with our neighbors in Lakeway. We encourage all residents to drive safely.

City Council Appointment
We are pleased to welcome Marty Khait to the City Council. His appointment is well deserved, and we look forward to his contributions in shaping our city’s future.
Parks & Rec Commission Addition
We also extend a warm welcome to Hayden Alvey, who has joined the Parks & Recreation Commission. We appreciate his commitment to improving recreational opportunities for our residents.
Improving Meeting Services
We continue to explore better solutions for hosting and administrative services to improve efficiency and accessibility. More updates to come as we refine our approach.
Capital Improvement Plan
We are holding a council workshop on April 22 to discuss our Capital Improvement Plan. This is a great opportunity for you to provide input on future infrastructure projects. Submit your input here. Wildfire Preparedness
With wildfire season approaching, our Tri-City Emergency Management Coordinator, Waheeda Yousofzoy, recently gave a Wildfire Preparedness presentation.
Park Maintenance & UpgradesNew soccer goals will be installed soon, along with additional park repairs. If you notice any maintenance needs in our parks or throughout the city, please let us know by emailing

New Village Logo
As part of our modernization efforts, Council has adopted a new, official logo that better reflects the identity of The Village of The Hills.
New Website in Development
We are in the process of refreshing this website to improve clarity, transparency, and navigation. The updated platform will make it easier for residents to find information, access services, and stay updated on village affairs. Stay tuned for more details as we move closer to launch.
